About the Event
We have been conditioned to not speak about race and politics. Yet, in this highly emotional time, these are the topics that are front of mind. With the holidays looming, it’s very likely they will be the topics of conversation at our dinner tables. It’s also likely that our views may not be shared with our family members.
Join one of WCARA’s Steering Committee leaders, Megan Leipholtz, as she walks members through various scenarios and offers up opportunities for you to exercise your ability to practice sharing your views in a safe space in preparation for these upcoming conversation.
The only way to make these conversations less awkward, and for you to be more confident in your presentation, is simply for you to practice!
Do you have a specific scenario you’d like Megan to work with you on? Have a particularly “difficult” family member you need some help preparing to face? Email Megan (mleipholtz at msn dot com) ahead of time with the situation so she can prepare some content for the event.
